South Africa. Male voice recorded at the workplace of the performer, Netshamutshedzi, who also makes the mbira lamellophone with which he accompanies himself. For the Venda people, the mbira is an instrument for entertainment, and the repertoire consists of adaptations of other musical genres and personal compositions, often accompanied by songs.
